Mountainland Head Start is committed to working with parents to help their children achieve their greatest potential. It is our belief that parents are the primary educators of their children and we try to help parents assume that role at home and within our classrooms.
In order to help you and your child get the most out of our program and services we have provided the following manuals. The Parent Handbook outlines in detail the services that we provide at Mountainland Head Start and what our expectations are for your family. The Parent Volunteer Handbook is specific to the opportunity we provide parents to volunteer in the classroom. It outlines our expectations for parent volunteers and gives some direction as to what you can expect when you participate.
We hope that you will be as engaged in your child's education as your individual interests and circumstances will permit. If you have questions regarding any of the information in the handbooks please feel free to ask either your child's teacher or your Family Advocate.
Important Note: Due to COVID-19 many of the items addressed in the parent handbook will need to be adjusted during the 2020-21 school year. We will be releasing our return to school plan shortly. Anything not specifically mentioned in the plan will remain as indicated in the Parent Handbook.
